Research and Development

Our research and development are in alignment with sustaining the pome and stone industry. It focuses on gaining new insights, technologies, and practices necessary to mitigate, avoid, or overcome threats and risks and to leverage opportunities.

Our industry is highly technical and therefore, dependents on knowledgeable professionals who are up to speed with the latest technology and future directions of fruit production to ensure that our product is of high quality, safe, sustainable, and preferred by consumers.  A way to ensure a steady supply of highly skilled people is through our research programme, which during 2021/22 funded twenty-seven post-graduate students. By investing in people, we ensure the future of our industry.
